Description

Big old wooden SENUFO female figure, according to the former owner deriving from the Ivory coast, Africa. Woman sitting on a stool with a pot in the hand and a necklace. Handcarved wood with decorative reliefs, originally painted in dark brown. The figure could be dated around to the middle of the 20th century.
Height  70 cm, width 15 cm, depth 15 cm.
Good used conditions. Traces due to age and use, such little cracks or wood worms holes (please see the details pictures).  

Provenience/Provenance: The figure comes from a german private collection.

Vecchia, grande figura femminile SENUFO, secondo l'ex proprietario proveniente dalla Costa d'Avorio, Africa. Donna seduta su uno sgabello con un contenitore in grembo e una collana al collo. Legno intagliato a mano con rilievi decorativi, in origine colorato in marrone scuro. La figura può errere datata intorno alla metà del Novecento. 
Altezza 70 cm, larghezza 15 cm, profondità 15 cm. Usata, ma in buono stato di conservazione. Segni di usura dovuti al tempo, come piccole crepe o tracce di tarli (si prega di vedere le foto di dettaglio). 

Provenienza: la maschera proviene da una collezione privata tedesca.

Beschreibung

Alte, große Holzfigur der SENUFO, laut dem Vorbesitzer aus der Elfenbeinküste, Afrika. Auf einem Hocker sitzende Frau mit einem Gefäß in der Hand und einer Halskette am Hals. Handgeschnitztes Holz mit dekorativen Reliefs, ursprünglich dunkelbraun gefasst. Die Maske kann in der Mitte des 20. Jahrhunderts datiert werden.

Höhe 70 cm, Breite 12 cm, Tiefe 15 cm.

Guter gebrauchter Zustand. Gebrauchs- und Altersspuren, wie kleine Risse oder die Löcher von Holzwürmer (bitte siehe die Detail-Bilder). 

Provenienz: Die Maske stammt aus einer deutschen Privatsammlung.
